Subcutaneous injections go into your fat, often in the belly, thigh or upper arm
Short-term pharmacotherapy has not been shown to produce longer-term health benefits and cannot be generally recommended
The standard 0.5mL weekly recommendation works for some people, but its just a starting point
Certain vitamin injections, particularly those containing NAD+ and glutathione, support collagen synthesis, helping the skin maintain a firm and youthful appearance
But given that some multivitamins dont contain enough B12 to meet our minimum recommendations, Im sympathetic to the idea that it could be dangerous for vegan health professionals, and the greater vegan community, to promote the idea that for B12 vegans can just take a multivitamin. After the discussion with my colleague and reviewing the research, I see a need for vegan advocates to emphasize that when relying on daily multivitamins as a sole source of B12 vegans need to make sure it meets our minimum recommendations
If youd like to learn more about all forms of B12, we wrote extensively about them
